Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood

Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood

Rogers Healy says that real estate is “never what I thought I’d be doing, ever.” But when a hard-working man who loves making friends discovers that the one thing every one of those friends has in common is the need for a place to live, he fills that need with seemingly effortless pleasure.

Healy discovered this common need while studying at Southern Methodist University, and once he sold his first piece of real estate—a condo on Royal for $80,000—he began to fall in love with the business. He enjoyed the challenge of being a young man in a traditional business world and the feeling of truly helping people, whether they were purchasing their first home or renting an apartment close to campus.

Healy was in the real estate business for several years before breaking out and launching his own firm, Rogers Healy & Associates, almost three years ago. His firm is made up of young hustlers who work hard, seven days a week, to get people from every walk of life, with every kind of housing need, into a place they can call their own. In fact, Healy was recently named one of the Top 30 Realtors Under 30 by Realtor Magazine.

Healy’s biggest asset, other than his work ethic, is the boom of online social networking. Because the firm is made up of a staff that is much younger than most real estate firms across the country, the agents are able to use the Internet and social networking sites to their advantage. Healy says it was the biggest factor in being able to compete with the established companies and their huge marketing budgets. It was also a way to reach the young and tech-savvy folks who may not want to work with traditional real estate companies.

Now that the firm has established themselves in the greater Dallas area, they are able to let their new way of selling and renting shine. Healy cannot stress enough that he is not in the business of buildings; he is in the business of people. It may sound cliché, but he wants to get to know you, so he can adequately assess your living needs. Whether those needs point to a one-bedroom apartment or a five million dollar home, Rogers Healy & Associates is the family to help you move in.
