Reliable, Affordable, Squeaky-Clean... Maid Service.

I feel like it is always hard to find a reliable cleaning service that will get your place in top-notch shape for an affordable price. I recently used Uptown Cleaning at my place, and I don't think it has ever looked so fresh and clean. All of the cleaning ladies are very honest and trustworthy as well, so there is no need to be present while they are working. Check em out at www.uptownc.com and give Mattie a call to get your place looking clean!

Red Bull Art of Can Exhibit comes to Dallas until August 22nd

Red Bull is a forward thinking company that never ceases to amaze me with their innovative marketing techniques and off-the-wall ideas. I have always loved the “Red Bull Gives You Wings!!!” ads that aired back a couple of years ago, and I am most recently intrigued with the Red Bull Art of Can art exhibit that will be in Dallas until August 22nd at the Galleria.

Red Bull has been hosting these international design contests since 1997, and the rules for entry are very simple:
All artwork must be inspired by Red Bull or incorporate the aluminum can.

Knox Henderson: the new uptown?

The little area just off 75 in the Knox Henderson area has had some established places for the past couple of years: The Old Monk, Vickery Park, Candle Room, The Porch, Cuba Libre, and Victor Tango's. The developments father down on Henderson have blown up since last Summer. If you haven't driven down the street or been out for a night in this area, you need to make your way over there soon. Capitol Pub, Hacienda, Axiom Sushi, J. Black's (originally from Austin), Park, and a plethora of other restaurants and bars have popped up just in the past year.

Goomzee.com - REALTORS closing deals on the fly!

www.goomzee.com - a company that specializes in mobile solutions for real estate agents just scored another 1.5 million worth of funding. They attack the niche mobile solution market for real estate agents. I am firm believer in mobile applications, and I even have some "text for info" swings on my listings right now. I think the future will include more and more agents using mobile based solutions as cell phone technology becomes even more advanced. GOOMZEE.com will certainly be a leader in this mobile-based application market!

Smart Homes - when will we all live like the Jetsons??

Turn on your iPhone and see who is at the door? Change your home security options on the road? Turn down the thermostat when on vacation or at work? Entertainment options in the home that store and manage digital media is commonplace(DirecTV, Tivo, DVR, Apple TV, etc.) . We can download movies from the Internet on a television and play our favorite songs stored on our computers to listen on a stereo system around the house.

Trulia.com

Trulia.com - a real estate search database - has developed an iPhone app that many of you may have probably used before when searching for homes in your area (if not, search for the Trulia app in the App store). The GPS capabilities of the iPhone device coupled with the search methods developed by Trulia and implemented in the Trulia application allow users to drive down a street and get up to the minute data on a property that is for sale. The GPS enabled iPhone pinpoints your exact location then syncs with active listings on Trulia.com.
