Dear Dez Bryant, do you need a REALTOR®?

Football season is on the horizon, can’t you just hear the Monday night football theme song? The Dallas Cowboys training camp started this past weekend with all eyes on rookie Dez Bryant. The first round pick signed a five-year deal worth $11.8 million dollars last week. He hasn’t even played a single down and is already expected to be the starting wide receiver and play maker.

NBA All Star Weekend in Dallas

The NBA's best players will be in Dallas this weekend to participate in the 60th All Star game. The game has come a long way since its debut in 1951 which was held at the Boston Garden. Boston's own Ed Macauley won the first MVP award. You all remember Ed right? Yeah, I consider myself somewhat knowledgeable when it comes to the NBA but I have to admit never heard of Ed. .

Dallas Tex-Mex

Last month I had sandwich's on the brain. This month the food I can't stop thinking about is Tex-Mex. I think it all started with Taco Joint. I was pretty much sold on my first bite into the chicken tacos. Plus they have a silky queso that I could eat until I made myself sick. Dallas has some excellent Tex-Mex joints. When I get this craving I think of the places I love to go to and the places I still want to try.

The Park

The Park will forever change Dallas! I'm not talking about the popular Park restaurant/bar on Henderson. I'm talking about the Woodall Rogers Park that is currently under construction. If you driven on 75 south where it turns into Woodall Rogers lately you may have almost got into a wreck as the lanes merge into one for a bit.

West Dallas Wakeboarding

West Dallas can be seen across the Trinity River from Downtown Dallas. Yet, this is an area of town that has long been ignored. The area is probably most famous because Bonnie and Clyde once lived here before they went on a crime spree that captivated the nation.

The Office Quotes

Its Wednesday and its IntownSteve's Blog day. For whatever reason I could not figure out a topic to write about. So while watching one of my favorite shows, The Office, it came to me. I found myself laughing out loud or LOL if you prefer at Michael Scott and all the other Office characters. So I got to thinking what are the some of the best quotes from the show?  I put together 6 from Michael Scott that I fancy. If you have any favorite's from Michael Scott or any of the other characters please share.

Mustang Mania

On a recent visit to Eatiz's I noticed a local legend standing next to me. It was the one and only Eric Dickerson. I thought to myself I can't believe I'm standing next to the guy who helped put SMU football on the map. So I looked around and to see if anyone else noticed that part of the Pony Express backfield was here shopping for prepared meals? To my disappointment nobody noticed him but hey its been almost 30 years now since the Pony Express was running wild through college football.

Oh the holiday season! When I think of the holidays for some reason I always picture in my head a busy mall with little kids running around wanting every toy in sight. Think the character Vercua Salt from the movie Charlie and the Chocolate factory saying "I want it now". Maybe this is why I don't want to go to the mall around this time of year.
