Renovations coming to Oak Lawn Plaza
Oak Lawn Plaza is scheduled to undergo nearly $250,000 in upgrades. These will be the first upgrades to the building since it was initially completed in 1983.
The first phase of the project is scheduled to be completed this summer with the second phase of upgrades expected to be completed in 2013.
The renovations are essential for retaining existing tenants as well as attracting new ones, says Belinda Dabliz, vice president of leasing.

SMU starts its Living Village project
Students at Southern Methodist University (SMU) are beginning their second annual Living Village project. The project focuses on engineering temporary shelters designed for refugees or rapidly expanding populations.
The project is an interactive display and teaching tool for the school's Engineering and Humanity Week, which starts today.
This year, the shelters are designed for longer-term habitation and SMU students will live, cook and sleep within them. The students will live without luxurious amenities such as running water or electricity.

Great people watching on a Tuesday night!
If you enjoy some of the best Mexican food, margaritas, and people watching in Uptown, Dallas, Primo's Bar and Grill is the place to be, especially on Tuesday nights. It's been a happening place for years and definitely one of my favorite places to hang out. It's situated right in the heart of Uptown, across from 2 new restaurants: Del Frisco's Grill and Private Social. If you're in the area, stop in for one of their famous $2 margaritas and enjoy the great vibe this Uptown restaurant has to offer!

The upside of uptown!
One of the greastest things about living in Uptown is the vast amount of restaurants and bars just steps, or a trolley ride, from your condo or apartment. You can find a restaurant or bar on just about any corner in Uptown Dallas. The newest addition to the corner of McKinney Ave. And N. Hall St. is Del Frisco's Grille. The Grille has many of the same items you would find in a Del Frisco's Steakhouse, along with a more casual menu for people not looking to spend a lot, while not wanting to skimp on taste.
