Historic Downtown Ft. Worth Establishment Closing.

Big changes in Sundance Square are coming soon. The historic watering hole and live-music venue 8.0 is closing at the end of the month, and being replaced with a brand new Flying Saucer.

Owner Shannon Wynne plans on renovating the space and opening an expanded Flying Saucer. A beer-garden on the huge covered patio is included in the new construction plans. The current Flying Saucer, located across the street in the historic Land Title Building, will be preserved during the construction of three new buildings.

What People Talk About In Dallas

Moving to Dallas is a culture shock for most people from out of state.  The roads are enough to drive people crazy. At least when people give directions from 635, 35, 75, 121 or the George Bush you sort of understand, but god forbid its off the toll way.

Dallas vs. LA

With four siblings who live between San Diego and Los Angeles, I certainly get my fair share of requests to move out to the West Coast.  I seem to think I have it better here in Dallas.  I have great friends, unlike my sister who has jealous girls getting mean when she gets more camera time than they do.  I can actually afford a home in Dallas vs. a shack in Southern Cali.  And as far as the weather, who can complain about Dallas this January?  Not me!  It's 68 degrees out and I'm loving it!

Red lipstick on a pig.

I sometimes get calls from people interested in learning more about a house I have listed. They get my information from the sign in the yard, or even the internet. Of course I tell them all about the listing, and ask if it is what they are searching for. If it isn't, I always offer to assist them with their home search. Occasionally, I will be told that they don't need any help. They search for themselves.
