SMU starts its Living Village project

Students at Southern Methodist University (SMU) are beginning their second annual Living Village project.  The project focuses on engineering temporary shelters designed for refugees or rapidly expanding populations.

The project is an interactive display and teaching tool for the school's Engineering and Humanity Week, which starts today.

This year, the shelters are designed for longer-term habitation and SMU students will live, cook and sleep within them.  The students will live without luxurious amenities such as running water or electricity.

Fake it Till you Make it...

   Ok, so all indications of the current real estate market in the DFW area suggest that its a super time to buy. For that, we are grateful! Interest rates are at historical lows and inventory is actually below what is considered a "normal" market supply.

1. Using a realtor to help find a rental doesn't cost YOU a thing! That's right, I am not paid by my client/customer, instead when we find you a place to live and you sign a lease I am then paid by the property management company/landlord.
