A League of Her Own
At Coolidge High School in Washington, D.C., Natalie Randolph is making history....as one of the nation's only female football coaches!
In March, the selection of Natalie Randolph ( a science teacher, former college track star AND pro women's football player) kicked off a frenzy of attention and with a press conference with D.C. mayor Adrian Fenty, who declared March 12 "Natalie Randolph Day."
As you can imagine the resposes are ranging from "it's about time" or more likely "football is a man's sport".
I've played soccer, volleyball and ran track myself all through school. I still play in an adult coed league plus will be coaching at Net Results for Youth 15 Volleyball. While Natalie Randolph's kick through the glass ceiling has inspired woman far and wide, I am most touched by the impact she has had to my son and daughter.
