Tax Free Weekend...

Well it's that time again...back to school. I never did enjoy heading back to school, but I did always look forward to the back to school shopping! Call me a girl, but even buying the school supplies got me excited. This weekend is the perfect time to get all your shopping done as this weekend is the tax free weekend. Starting this Friday the 20th and running through Sunday the 22nd enjoy the benefits of no tax shopping. 

The following is a list of all inclusive qualifying school supplies:

Binders,Book Bags,Calculators,Cellopane tape,Chalk,Crayons,Erasers,Composition books,Folders,Glue,Highlighters,Index Cards,Legal Pads,Lunch boxes,Markers,Notebooks,Paper,Pencils,Pencil sharpeners,Pens,Protractors,Rulers,Scissors,Writing Tablets.

The following is a list of clothing, footwear, and backbacks:

Tax-Free

Baby Clothes,Backpacks for use by elementary and secondary students,Belts with attached buckles, boots(cowboy, hiking), Caps/hats,coats and wraps,diapers(adult and baby), dresses,gloves,gym suits and uniforms,hooded shirts and sweatshirts,hoisery,jackets,jeans,jerseys,jogging apparel,neckwear and ties,pajamas,pants and trousers,raincoats and ponchos,robes,shirts,shoes,socks,suits,sweaters,swimsuits,underclothes.

Items that will be Taxed:

accessories,backpacks(unless for use by elementary and secondary students),baseball cleats and pants,belt buckles(without belt),Boots(climbing,fishing,rubber work boots, ski waders),buttons and zippers,cloth and lace, knitting yarns and other fabrics,football pants,golf gloves,handbags and purses,handkerchiefs,hard hats, helmets(bike, baseball, football, hockey, motorcycle), ice skates, jewelry,leather goods(except belts with buckles and wearing apparel), pads(football, hickey, soccer, elbow ,knee, shoulder), personal flotation devices, roller blades and skates,safety clothing, shoes(bicycle,bowling, golf).

So get out there this weekend and take advantage of a tax free weekend and I hope everyone has an enjoyable school year!!!
