Solar Panels: Are They Really Worth It?

 With the green movement in full force in all consumer products, green products have been flooding the residential construction market more than ever. After traveling to Las Vegas this past January to the National Association of Home Builders Show, it was easy to see just how many green products are available. What was hard to get a grasp on was which products worked best, were actually environmentally safe, and long lasting. After speaking with 1 or 2 solar panel companies, I felt the sales people could not give me a good pitch as to how solar panel's can actually help you save when it comes to installation, maintenance and repairs, and insurance compared to installing a regular AC and Heating system. There are also tax credits that come in to play when purchasing and installing solar panel's on your home.
