Slowly but surely, Dallas home prices are on the rise...

I found some good news about the local housing market and I thought I would share it. According to the latest Standard & Poor's/Case-Shiller Home Price Index report, Dallas home prices are continuing to increase. This study shows specifically a 2.9 percent increase in home prices in May from a year ago. This is less of an increase than the national average of 4.6 percent, but that is a bit misleading because some areas had much more dramatic drops in years past, and had more to make up for.

It feels good to know that things are balancing out in the housing market, even if it is happening a little more slowly than we would like.
