Red, White, and Happy Independence Day!

Here at RHA we love celebrating! Whether it's Rogers making it a cookie day for the office for no reason whatsoever, Viv making her oh so delicious peach cheesecake (yummmmmm!), or it could be us handing out one of our famous ROGERS HEALY IS MY REALTOR T-SHIRTS to our clients. So when that one day comes in July when you can celebrate the most with good friends, family, <insert favorite drink here> and fireworks we say GO ALL OUT! If your like me, you usually go over to a friends house but, if you are going to be the one throwing this shindig you better make sure your home is pouring with patriotism...literally. So, this big once-in-a-year event deserves the perfect decorations...and then some. Here are some great ideas and tips to make your 4th of July party a hit!

Start with the kitchen/dining room: Of course red, white and blue will be on the menu so start off using one of those colors for a table cloth. You can also use the same colors for the napkins, paper plates and plastic wear. Make cupcakes and cookies with the decorative red, white and blue sprinkles. Not done yet? Don't forget to get the 4th of July confetti. Why? Becuase everyone loves confetti!

Flower arrangments: Patriotic flower arrangements can be made that will really make your home look awesome. Decorate the home with red, white and blue flowers! You can put them in hanging baskets inside and outside the house. Also, by cutting the stems off the flowers and putting them in a glass bowl  it makes a wonderful floating flower arrangments.

July 4th decor: It wouldn't be the 4th of July with out...the American Flag! Be sure to have one hanging in front of your home to show your patriotism. You can also line your driveway with the little american flags or have red, white and blue lights.Don't want to spend alot of money on the lights? Try using candles. They are a nice touch to any holiday fiesta!  Have a life size cut out of Benjamin Franklin or John Adams just lying around the house like I do? Use it!

Red room, White room, Blue room:  For the rooms in your house use pillows and throw covers to enhance this  wonderful day. Cover your bed with white bed sheet and use pillow covers in red, white and blue colors separately or mix them up.

Fireworks: Didn't think I would forget the best decorating tip of them all did you? Fireworks are a sure way to get the party going! Fine holiday fun I always say!

With these decoration tips, you can give your home that Independence day look that would make John Hancock cry. Just remeber what this day is really about and have fun with the ones you love. Have a fun and safe holiday weekend!

Happy 4th of July!!!
