Originally developed in 1924, Bluffview is an older, established neighborhood.  Originally a 215 acre dairy farm, the land was developed into one acre lots and annexed by Dallas in 1943.  Bluffview is named for its location as many lots sit atop a bluff overlooking the water below.  Some of the cliffs in the neighborhood actually rise 50 feet above the water offering beautiful views to the Bluffview neighborhood homes. 

 

Bluffview is a tight-knit community that is home to a diverse group of people.  Young families walk their children and dogs to the nearby Bluffview Park, while older couples stroll the winding streets hand in hand.  The Bluffview neighborhood watch program, along with the off-duty police officers that patrol our streets, keeps the neighborhood feeling safe and secure.  The Bluffview mothers’ groups in the neighborhood offer regular playdates and a forum for community moms to meet.

 

No home is the same; each offering their own distinct style.  A traditional colonial next to a contemporary home with walls of windows.  Or, a Mediterranean oasis next to a Cape Cod style ranch home.  While many of the homes in Bluffview are gracious estates that offer breathtaking appeal as you drive through the neighborhood, there are numerous other homes that are a bit more modest (and affordable) for young professionals and young families.  Whether you are interested in an estate, a starter home, or an investment opportunity, you cannot go wrong with Bluffview.
