getting ready for the spring market to bloom...
hey y'all,
as the weather warms up and we begin to look forward to spring, many more house hunters and sellers are starting to dip their toes into the DFW housing market! residential real estate agents all over dfw are starting to see buyers and sellers shed their concern and get back in the game- and we just LURVE that!
admittedly, 2009 was a weird year from DFW real estate, welll actually for real estate all over the nation. we had some solid months in which sales were up and so were prices, but for the most part the number of listings were down and sadly so were prices and the number of houses sold! additionally, the number of foreclosures and short sales saw a boom for the better part of 2009- which added a great level of fear to the housing market and really slowed us down. but 2009 is now a part of the past and we are looking on to a bigger, better 2010!
it is no surprise that more buyers and sellers are dipping their toes in the housing market now, the spring market really starts to pick up come the new year and as we head towards spring. once the hectic holidays are over, and the deary winter months begin to fade away, more and more people get back into the housing game and start listing their homes for sale and looking for their next home to purchase. but after a slow and cautious year one might wonder just how this spring market would fair, and it's looking to be pretty promising. so it is time for you to get in on the action, before spring is really in bloom and the market is super busy!
the housing market will continue to benefit from our recovering economy, as well as from job growth which is bouncing back and gaining momentum. experts predict that the dfw job market will rebound in 2010, which greatly helps our housing market. and economic experts are prediciting a rise in housing prices and housing sales in dfw for 2010, so now is the time to take advantage off all the new year and the spring market has to offer.
