The Park
The Park will forever change Dallas! I'm not talking about the popular Park restaurant/bar on Henderson. I'm talking about the Woodall Rogers Park that is currently under construction. If you driven on 75 south where it turns into Woodall Rogers lately you may have almost got into a wreck as the lanes merge into one for a bit.
The current construction is a small price to pay for what this will do to the city of Dallas. This park will help bridge Downtown and Uptown. With the emergence of the Arts District, the Calatrava bridge in West Dallas, and the Museum of Nature and Science the city will have a whole new look by 2020.
This project is something that I lot of North Texans never thought possible but as this Dallas Morning News quote states it's finally happening:
"The Woodall Rogers Park will bridge a freeway and create a public commons for all of North Texas. To many, this was a pipe dream. But engineering and financial challenges are being met. The dirt is moving. Again, the Big D visionaries prevailed. "
